Hospitals & Clinics
 Medical facilities include the Listowel Memorial Hospital that provides
24-hour emergency medical treatment and ambulance service. To date, the Listowel
Memorial Hospital has 25 chronic beds, 26 acute beds, and several outpatient
programs.
Services provided are patient activation, advance directives, speech pathology,
physiotherapy, diabetes/nutritional counseling, prenatal classes, breast
feeding clinics, accredited mammography unit, Breast Health Centre (first
of its kinds
in SW Ontario), a formal telephone triage system developed collaboratively
between medicine and nursing, specialty clinics (obstetrics, gynecology,
internal medicine, surgical interal medicine, pediatrics, dermatology, orthopaedics,
gastroenterology and endocrinology).
The hospital is also a training site for medical students interested in rural
medicine.
The town also offers a Medical Clinic, which offers full-scale medical services
provided by approximabely 12 doctors.
The town of North Perth has a wide variety of medical practitioners including
dentists, optometrists, alternate medicines and chiropractors.
