Celebrate Canada's 150th in North Perth!

There are many exciting and fun community events planned to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday in North Perth! The Municipality is honoured to have joined and supported various community and service organizations in their event planning.

Please see below for the events announced to date, including:

  • Atwood Lions Celebrate Canada's 150th Anniversary
  • Drive Through Time Car Rally, hosted by the Listowel Agricultural Society in conjunction with the Atwood Lions Canada Day Celebrations and supported by the Municipality of North Perth
  • Unveiling of the Afghanistan War Memorial on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the Listowel Cenotaph. Details coming soon.
  • Senior's Day at the Listowel Agricultural Fair, including euchre, BINGO, hot lunch, and entertainment by Canadian Country Music Artist Marie Bottrell
  • Canada's Largest Travelling Barn Dance Show at the Listowel Agricultural Fair, presented by the Listowel Agricultural Society and the Municipality of North Perth

The North Perth Public Library will also be holding a Canada Birthday Bash at each library branch.

  • Monkton Birthday Bash July 5th 10 a.m.-12 p.m. - Drop by and enjoy Canada themed make and take crafts, activities and refreshments.
  • Atwood Birthday Bash July 6th 10 a.m.-12 p.m. - Drop by and enjoy Canada themed make and take crafts, activities and refreshments.
  • Listowel Birthday Bash July 7th 10 a.m.-12 p.m. - Drop by and enjoy Canada themed make and take crafts, activities and refreshments. At 11:00 a.m., Don Robertson will entertain the crowd with his interactive music and magic show!
