Budgets & Financial ReportingThe Finance Department is responsible for the Budgeting Process: preparation, implementation and monitoring of the municipality’s Operating and Capital Budgets. The main focus is to administer these processes to meet the needs of the community, Council and other departments. In addition, the Finance Department is responsible for designing and implementing adequate financial controls for North Perth’s accounting functions, thereby ensuring the integrity of all financial transactions. The Department is responsible for the municipality’s annual Financial Statements, Financial Information Returns (FIR) and the Municipal Performance Measures Program (MPMP) which are submitted to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and available for public review.
