Trails Committee

The North Perth Trails Commitee (a sub-committee of RAC) has been responsible for the overall development of the North Perth Trail Systems. Commitee members include Ray Roswell, Richard Hesch, Pat Demmerling, Jamie Stirling, Judy Lawrence and mark TarBush

Recreation Advisory Committee

The Recreation Advisory Committee (RAC) is comprised of two members from each ward, one member of trails committee and two members of council. The committee shall elect the chair and vice-chair positions annually.

 

Major responsibilities:

  • The Recreation Advisory Committee represents the Town Council in all areas of recreation, leisure and cultural activities. The Committee deals with policy and administrative responsibilities for all community recreation.
  • Compile the annual recreation budget with input from the various ward representatives.
  • Prioritize all budgeted capital projects for the recreation department.
  • Recommend all facility and program rates and fees to Town Council for approval.
  • Develop and recommend policies to Town Council i.e. Alcohol; Event Security; Park Spraying; Pools; Seasonal Staff Hiring; Scheduling; Levels of Service.
  • Prioritize and implement the recommendations of the North Perth Recreation Study.
  • Liaison with all community service clubs, sports and arts groups.
  • Long term infrastructure/facilities planning.
  • Establish a mission statement and set of operational goals and objectives for the recreation system.

The Recreation Advisory Committee (RAC) meet the 2nd Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. of each month in the Committee Room of the Municipal Building.
