Newcomer settlement service is funded by the federal government through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada. Service in Perth County and Huron County is provided by the YMCA. Settlement advisors provide information on community resources and support newcomers to Canada as they settle. This is a free service.

To make an appointment with the Perth County Settlement Worker, Donna Dong, please call 519-504-3219 or email donna.dong@ytr.ymca.ca. Donna is the worker for North Perth.

The North Perth Public Library can also help you access the settlement services for newcomers. For more information, see the Perth County Settlement Services page.

The Centre for Employment and Learning in Listowel offers English as a Second Language (ESL) programming. Visit the ESL webpage or contact Erin Jones for more information. Erin's phone number is 519-271-4896 ext. 2402 and her email is erin.jones@ed.amdsb.ca.
