Chief's Message

The North Perth Fire Department is a composite department, consisting of 64 volunteer firefighters, a volunteer chaplain, a full time administrator/fire prevention officer/public educator, training officer, deputy fire chief and fire chief. Together, our team works from fire stations in Listowel, Atwood and Monkton. I consider it a great privilege to lead a team dedicated to providing fire protection services to protect the residents, business and visitors of the Municipality of North Perth.

The NPFD delivers fire protection services to the community, guided by three lines of defence;

  • Public fire safety education;
  • Fire safety standards and enforcement; and
  • Emergency fire response

As our community continues to grow, public fire and life safety education programming, fire safety inspections and code enforcement are more important than ever.  Public fire safety education, and fire safety standards and enforcement that are supported by well trained and equipped NPFD first responders, should assure our community that its safety is our priority.  Should you have a fire safety concern, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Take care.

Janny Pape
Manager of Development and Protective Services/Fire Chief
