Recreation & Community Programs

PLEASE READ PRIOR TO REGISTERING

Registering Online:

  • A separate registration form is required for each participant and program 
  • Prior to submitting online registration; ensure you have clicked and registered for the appropriate:
    • Program, Date & Location
  • Review information prior to submitting the form:
    • Address: Include Postal Code
    • Primary Phone Number: This number will be used for communication as the primary contact and in emergency situations
    • Emergency Name & Contact Number:  Please list an additional contact name and number. If staff are unable to reach the parent/guardian at the primary number provided this additional number will be used
    • Date of Birth: Ensure the appropriate year is entered for registrant

Invoices & Payments:

  • Registered programs are considered paid programs at time of registration and will be applied to your account.  Pre-payment is required for all registered programs.  Your fees are calculated based on the registered program fee. Fee charges are reviewed annually for our programs and posted on our website. The fees are calculated based on operating costs. In order to keep the fees at a reasonable level and to maintain your registered space in the program, we are not able to provide refunds or credits for programs due to illness, vacation or other events.

Counsellor In Training: Fri. June 9

A fun, informative training session where you will develop leadership skills and gain hands-on experience in a day camp setting, gain self-confidence and make new friends!
Counsellor’s-In-Training assists and learn the delivery of quality programs to the children in our Community.
You will have a chance to practice your skills during a 2-week placement at our camps.
A certificate will be issued upon completion of all requirements.

Babysitting & Home Alone

Home Alone:

Home Alone Safety for Kids program is a one day course designed to help children and their families get
ready for their child’s first steps towards independence and being without adult supervision. This safety program is ideally suited for children aged 9-11 years old. Safety and accident prevention are the common theme throughout the program. The information is relevant and current. Course content includes but not limited to Street smarts, people safety, safe snacking and basic first aid. All participants will receive the Home Alone Safety For Kids manual and certificate of attendance.

 

Babysitting Course:

  • Fri. June 9, 9am-3pm Atwood - Elma Memorial Community Centre

This one day course offers basic first aid and caregiving skills for youth 11-15 years of age. Participants learn how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. This course also offers youth the skills to promote themselves as babysitters to prospective families. All participants will receive the Babysitter’s Manual and Completion Certificate.

Standard First Aid & CPR Courses - Canadian Red Cross 

North Perth is currently offering blended First Aid/CPR courses with an online and in-class component. Please Note: There is independent online learning due prior to in class course date

Full Certification Standard First Aid and CPR- Level C  $ 135.00

2023 Summer Program Registration opens Mid-April

Recreation Summer Camps are $190 per week and must be paid in advance as per the North Perth Payment Policy. North Perth's Summer Day Camp programming is for children going into Grade 2 to 12 years old as of Fall 2023. Contact our Children's Services division for information on Kindercamp options for younger children.

Aquatic Information

North Perth pool and lesson schedules may be subject to change. Please note that all program dates/times are subject to change. Private rentals of our pools are available by calling 519-292-2054.

The Municipality of North Perth holds high value and safety for all Aquatic program offerings. It is required by patrons and those in attendance to follow our Pool Admission Standards, Policies/Procedures and Pool Expectations. Pre-registration and payment is required.  In addition, patrons must also follow the guidelines posted at the pool during all aquatics programs.

Swimming Lessons (Group & Privates), Swim Team, Bronze Courses, etc.:

  • One registration form required per participant
  • Payment is required following registration on receipt of invoice/confirmation of registered program

Public Swims/AquaFit/Lane Swim: View the 2023 Swim Schedule for dates and locations.  Sponsored Swim opportunities are available. Thanks to our community for supporting our Sponsored Swims.

  • Correct change is recommended:
    • Public/Family Swims (50-minute session) $4/person, under 5 years of age is free
    • Lane Swim $3.00/person
    • AquaFit: $5.00/person

Swim Passes Available for purchase mid-May: Passes include access to Public/Family Swims & Lane Swims

  • Book of 10 passes: $35
  • Family Pass: $280 +Additional $50 per family member
    •  ($280 Includes 2 Guardians and up to 5 children)
  • Individual Pass: $125
  • Participants are encouraged to arrive showered and changed in swim attire

Swim Team & Stroke Development

The Atwood Athletics & the Listowel Lightnings invite you to join the Swim Team!  Swimmers will improve swim skills, gain strength and endurance learning all strokes, flip turns, starts, breathing pattern and more!  This is a great way to make friends, improve your skills and have FUN!  We have 3 swim practices each week. Swimmers are required to have passed their deep end test.

Girls Youth Volleyball (Panthers) *Registration is Closed: email programs@northperth.ca for registration inquiries 

Youth ages 11-17 are invited to register for North Perth Girls Volleyball program.  Participants will learn and develop new skills while encouraging team play in a fun, active and healthy learning environment.  Participants can register for the In-House League (option 1) or Travel/Tournament League (option 2).

 Youth Minor Basketball - Registration is Closed for the season (We look forward to the Fall Season)

Children in grades 1-8 are invited to register for North Perth Minor Basketball program.  Children will learn and develop new skills while encouraging team play in a fun, active and healthy learning environment.  Interested volunteers are asked to email programs@northperth.ca to assist as a volunteer coach.
