    TAKE NOTICE an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment has been received affecting the property described above. The application was deemed complete on August 13, 2026 pursuant to Section 34 (10.4) of the Planning Act in accordance with the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. O. Reg. 545/06 s. 5

    Purpose and Effect: The subject application is to Rezone for a Special Agricultural Zone (A-sp) to permit an event facility as an on-farm diversified use from May 1 – October 31 which will occupy 0.45 ha on the subject lands. The venue will permit a maximum occupancy of 200 people and no more than two (2) events per week. The applicant is proposing to use tents and portable restroom facilities until such time as the onsite barn can meet current building requirements.

  • North Perth Advocates for Key Rural Priorities at AMO Conference

    Representatives from the Municipality of North Perth recently participated in a series of meetings with provincial officials during the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference, advocating for key priorities that support sustainable growth, infrastructure readiness, and housing development in rural Ontario.

    Mayor Todd Kasenberg, CAO Kriss Snell, and Deputy CAO Sandy Little met with provincial representatives from the Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Energy and Mines, and Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing to discuss issues that are critical to North Perth's future and shared by many growing rural communities across the province.

    TAKE NOTICE a statutory public meeting is taking place to discuss a proposed Amendment Zoning By-law affecting the property described above. The application was deemed complete on July 9, 2026 pursuant to Section 34 (10.4) of the Planning Act in accordance with the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. O. Reg. 545/06 s. 5

    Purpose and Effect: The subject application proposes to amend the Special Agriculture Commercial/ Manufacturing Zone (ACM-7) to remove the site-specific provisions of the existing ACM-7 Zone and to refer back to the general ACM zoning provisions with the exception of minimum parking requirements. The amended zoning is proposing to minimum required number of parking spaces from 68 to 23, including accessible spaces. The proposed zoning amendment will facilitate the construction of a warehouse addition for the grain/feed mill operation. The operational layout of the property will be regulated through a Site Plan Agreement with the Municipality of North Perth.

    TAKE NOTICE an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment has been received affecting the property described above. The application was deemed complete on July 22, 2026 pursuant to Section 34 (10.4) of the Planning Act in accordance with the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. O. Reg. 545/06 s. 5

    Purpose and Effect: 

    ZN 4-2026
    The application proposes to rezone the subject lands from Future Development (FD) and Residential
    Zone Four (R4) to Parks and Recreation Zone (PR). The proposed Parks and Recreation Zone (PR) is adjacent to the Parks and Recreation Zone (PR) to the west and will permit the existing use of the subject lands as a municipal drain.

    ZN 5-2026
    The application to rezone the subject lands proposes to amend the North Perth Zoning By-law from Future Development Zone (FD) and Parks and Recreation Zone (PR) to Special Residential Zone Five (R5-32).  The site-specific zoning will reduce the minimum rear yard depth from 7.5 m to 3 m.

    The subject application will facilitate the construction of five townhouse blocks, comprising a total of 15, one-storey bungalow-style dwelling units.

  • Elizabeth St Bridge Rehabilitation and Conduit Wall Replacement

    Please be advised of the closure on Elizabeth St. E for bridge and conduit reconstruction starting on Monday, July 27, 2026, running until the end of November.

    330 Wallace Ave N entrances can be accessed from Wallace Ave N.

    Listowel Memorial Hospital, hospital parking lot and medical offices (172 - 255 Elizabeth St. E.) can only be accessed from Davidson Ave. N. There will be no thru-traffic access via the bridge.

  • NOTICE OF PASSING OF A ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT BY THE MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH

    TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Municipality of North Perth passed By-law No. 53-2026 on the 20th day of July, 2026, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended (herein after called the “Act”). Council considered all written and oral submissions received on this application, the effect of which helped Council to make an informed decision.

    TAKE NOTICE an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment has been received affecting the property described above. The application was deemed complete on July 10, 2026 pursuant to Section 34 (10.4) of the Planning Act in accordance with the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. O. Reg. 545/06 s. 5

    Purpose and Effect: The subject application is being proposed to satisfy a condition of approval for Consent File B41-25. The severed lands are being rezoned from Agriculture Zone (A) to Special Agriculture Zone (A-89) to permit a non-farm residential dwelling and associated accessory uses, buildings and structures on an undersized Agricultural lot. The property is 20 ha in size.

  • Call to Artists: Public Art Commission in North Perth

    The Municipality of North Perth is pleased to announce the launch of its first Public Art Call to Artists as part of the implementation of the North Perth Public Art Implementation Plan.

    In partnership with STEPS Public Art, the Municipality is inviting professional Canadian artists and artist teams to submit their qualifications for the opportunity to design and create two permanent public artworks to be installed in the communities of Monkton and Gowanstown.
