Purpose and Effect:
The purpose of the application is to rezone the subject lands from Special Residential Zone 5 (R5-14) to Special Residential Zone 5 (R5-SP). Site specific provisions will facilitate the construction of an unenclosed deck on each parcel with relief from Section 5.21.2 (b) to include an unenclosed deck with a floor level increase from 1.2 m to 2.4 m and to increase the encroachment from 1.5 m to 3.1 m into the rear yard, relief from Section 5.21.2 (c) to allow the interior side yard setback of an unenclosed deck to be reduced from 0.6 m to 0 m, relief from Section 11.2.7 to increase the lot coverage maximum from 50% to 56% and relief from Section 11.2.8 to decrease the open landscaped space from 35% to 31%. The site-specific zoning is intended to permit the construction of an unenclosed deck on each lot with an area of 11.5 m2.

TAKE NOTICE a statutory public meeting is taking place to discuss a proposed Amendment Zoning By-law affecting the property described above. The application was deemed complete on August 13, 2026pursuant to Section 34 (10.4) of the Planning Act in accordance with the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. O. Reg. 545/06 s. 5
Purpose and Effect: The subject application is to Rezone for a Special Agricultural Zone (A-sp) to permit an event facility as an on-farm diversified use from May 1 – October 31 which will occupy 0.45 ha on the subject lands. The venue will permit a maximum occupancy of 200 people and no more than two (2) events per week. The applicant is proposing to use tents and portable restroom facilities until such time as the onsite barn can meet current building requirements.

The Kin Trail Bridge Replacement project will begin on September 8, 2026, and continue through December 2026. This project addresses the urgent need to replace the deteriorating bridge structure, as identified through recent engineered assessments.
The project is funded in part through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) Grant.
During construction, the affected section of the Kin Trail will be closed to all users. Residents and visitors are asked to use alternate routes and follow posted signage throughout the construction period.

PURPOSE OF APPLICATION: The subject application is requesting relief from Section 6.4.1 and Section 6.4.2 of the North Perth Zoning By-law to reduce the minimum required setback for Minimum Distance Separation II (MDS II) for a Type A land use (House) from 337 m (1,105 ft) to 305 m (1,000 ft) to facilitate the construction of a 1,468 m2 Layer (chicken) barn. The application is also requesting the a reduction to the minimum required setback for Minimum Distatance Seperation I (MDS I) to both a neighbouring barn and manure storage from 397 m (1,302 ft) to 310 m (1,017 ft) to facilitate the construction of a residential dwelling for on farm labour housing.

PURPOSE OF APPLICATION: The subject application is requesting relief from Section 6.4.1 of the North Perth Zoning By-law to reduce the minimum required setback for Minimum Distance Separation II (MDS II) for a Type B land use (Soccer Fields) from 322 m (742 ft) to 250 m (633 ft) to facilitate the construction of a 1,654 m2 broiler (chicken) barn.
The Municipality of North Perth will be conducting pesticide spraying to control invasive Phragmites along select rural roadsides within the Elma Ward.
Patch spraying will only occur in specific areas where the invasive plant is found. Signage will be posted at locations where pesticide application is taking place to notify the public.
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Municipality of North Perth passed By-law No. 67-2026 on the 24th day of August, 2026, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended (herein after called the “Act”). Council considered all written and oral submissions received on this application, the effect of which helped Council to make an informed decision.
