Applications Now Open for 2026-2030 Public Appointments to Statutory Boards and Committees

The Municipality of North Perth is accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on statutory committees and boards during the 2026-2030 Council term. Applications are currently being accepted for the following: 

• Committee of Adjustment; considers and may authorize minor variances from the Zoning By-law. The Municipality is seeking up to six (6) members.
  
  
• North Perth Public Library Board; leads the governance and strategic direction for the North Perth Public Library. The Municipality is seeking up to nine (9) members.
  
  
• Listowel BIA Board of Management; provides guidance and recommendations on matters relating to creating a prosperous and sustainable environment for businesses in the Listowel BIA boundary and a healthy local economy. The Municipality is seeking up to eight (8) members.
  
  
• Property Standards Committee; hears appeals against orders issued by the Municipality under the Property Standards By-law. The Municipality is seeking up to five (5) members.
  
  
• Fence Viewers; Fence Viewers act in accordance with the Line Fences Act which sets out the procedure for the resolution of line fence disputes between owners of adjoining properties. Fence Viewers do not meet regularly; they are called upon as needed. The Municipality is currently seeking three (3) members.
  
  
• Livestock Investigators; Livestock Investigators are responsible for investigating claims for damages to livestock in accordance with the Ontario Wildlife Damage Compensation Program. Fence Viewers/Livestock Investigators do not meet regularly; they are called upon as needed. The Municipality is currently seeking at least one (1) member.
  
  
• Pound Keeper; responsible for impounding livestock running at large in the Municipality in accordance with the Pounds Act. The Pound Keeper does not meet regularly; they are called upon as needed. The Municipality is currently seeking one (1) member.
