NOTICE is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH

Nominations in the Municipality of North Perth will be accepted beginning on Friday, May 1, 2026. 

The Municipality of North Perth intends to control noxious weeds along all rural roadsides.

Commencing May 11, 2026, weather permitting to June 12, 2026.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Municipality of North Perth passed By-law No. 35-2026 on the 27th day of April, 2026, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended (herein after called the “Act”). Council considered all written and oral submissions received on this application, the effect of which helped Council to make an informed decision.

North Perth, April 14, 2026 – The Municipality of North Perth is advising residents that the 2026 Budget Amendment has been officially adopted following the completion of the Strong Mayor Powers legislative process under the Municipal Act, 2001.

The amendment updates the 2026 Budget to reflect finalized cost information received after the original budget approval in December 2025. These updates primarily relate to externally controlled services, including the Ontario Provincial Police contract and the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority levy.

The Municipality of North Perth is developing a comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan (PRMP) to guide the future of parks, facilities, programs, and services across the community. This plan will help ensure that North Perth continues to meet residents' evolving recreational needs while planning for future growth.

TAKE NOTICE a statutory public meeting is taking place to discuss a proposed Amendment Zoning By-law affecting the property described above. The application was deemed complete on March 4, 2025 pursuant to Section 34 (10.4) of the Planning Act in accordance with the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. O. Reg. 545/06 s. 5

Purpose and Effect: The application to rezone the subject lands proposes to amend the North Perth Zoning By-law from the existing Future Development Zone (FD), Special Future Development Zone (FD-12), Agricultural Zone (A) and Natural Resources/Environment Zone Two (NRE-2) to the following zones to facilitate the proposed draft plan of subdivision:

• Special Residential Zone Four Zone (R4-sp)
• Special Residential Zone Five Zone (R5-sp)
• Institutional Zone (IN)
• Floodplain (FP)/Natural Resources/Environment Zone Two (NRE-2)
