  • Applications Now Open for 2025 Attainable Housing CIP Program

    North Perth, May 2, 2025 – The Municipality of North Perth is pleased to announce the opening of the Attainable Housing Community Improvement Plan (CIP) incentive programs for 2025. Now in its second year of implementation, the Attainable Housing CIP aims to minimize financial barriers to the creation of affordable and attainable rental housing in North Perth.

    The Attainable Housing CIP offers four incentive programs: Planning and Building Permit Fee Grant, Tax Increment Equivalency Grant, Additional Residential Dwelling Unit Grant, and Commercial and Rental Housing Conversion and Expansion Grant. Up to $100,000 in total funding is available in 2025 to be awarded to successful applicants.

  • Listowel Gardens Breaks Ground with a Focus on Attainable Housing in North Perth

    North Perth, April 26, 2025 – A significant step toward addressing housing needs in North Perth was taken today as municipal staff and council members joined developers to celebrate the official ground-breaking of Listowel Gardens. This development project aims to contribute to the community's growing demand for diverse and attainable housing options.​

    Phase one of the development is scheduled for completion in Spring 2026. At the completion of 3 phases, Listowel Gardens will feature 178 one- and two-bedroom suites, a resident-friendly clubhouse, and a nearby commercial space, designed to support a vibrant and connected neighbourhood for individuals, families, and local businesses.

  • Notice of Complete Application for a Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment

    TAKE NOTICE a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment application has been received affecting the property described above. The application was deemed complete on April 8, 2025 pursuant to Section 34 (10.4) of the Planning Act in accordance with the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. O. Reg. 545/06 s. 5

    Purpose and Effect:

    The subject application is being proposed to satisfy a condition for Consent File B06-25. The retained lot is to be rezoned from Agriculture Zone to Special Agriculture Zone (A-113) to permit a non-farm residential dwelling and associated accessory uses, buildings and structures and recognize a reduced rear yard depth of 5 m and a reduced interior side width of 3 m for the existing accessory structures.

     

    The severed lands will be rezoned from Agriculture Zone (A) to Special Agriculture Zone (A-629) to prohibit any new permanent residential dwellings and recognize an undersized agricultural lot measuring 29 ha.

  • 4-Gas Monitors are now available at NPPL Branches

    North Perth, April 11, 2025 – The Municipality of North Perth is pleased to announce that 4-gas monitors are now available for loan at the North Perth Public Library’s (NPPL) three branches. These portable, handheld, battery-powered devices will be available to borrowers at no cost, equipped with step-by-step instructions on their usage.

    The 4-gas monitors detect the presence of four critical gases: oxygen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and combustible gases. They provide real-time gas level readings and emit alarms when unsafe gas levels are detected, offering an essential tool for safety in various environments, particularly those that are confined spaces.
