MEDIA RELEASE

2026 Mayor’s Budget Adopted, Supporting Services and Infrastructure in North Perth

As of Tuesday, December 2, 2025, the 2026 Budget was adopted under Strong Mayor Powers. The 2026 Mayor’s Budget takes a balanced and responsible approach, maintaining current service levels, supporting core municipal operations, and advancing essential infrastructure renewal.

Property taxes paid by North Perth taxpayers reflect contributions to the Municipality, Perth County, and local school boards. For 2026, the impact on the North Perth portion of the property tax bill is 6.61 per cent, equal to approximately $161 per year for a median assessed residential household on the North Perth portion of the tax bill.

The 2026 budget process followed the requirements of the Strong Mayor framework while maintaining transparency and opportunities for Council input. Council members reviewed the proposed budget and had the opportunity to bring forward amendments during the designated review period.

The full 2026 Mayor’s Budget is available at www.northperth.ca/budget. Residents are encouraged to review the document to learn more about the projects, services, and investments planned for the year ahead.
