The Council of the Municipality of North Perth met on Monday, August 10, 2026, at the North Perth Council Chambers (330 Wallace Ave N, Listowel) and livestreamed to YouTube.

Council Meeting Highlights – August 10, 2026
  • Council approved the 2025 Consolidated Financial Statements.
  • Council directed staff to revisit the recommendations for Non-Application of the Line Fences Act with specific interest in removing urban applications in the Municipality of North Perth and include cost recovery efforts.
  • Council supported consent application B05-26 affecting 6050 Line 84 to sever the subject lands to create a lot for the existing commercial business.
  • Council conditionally approved a capital project to purchase a decontamination and restroom trailer for the North Perth Fire Department, subject to the Municipality being successful in its application under the 2026/2027 Ontario Fire Protection Grant.
  • Council directed staff to prepare an amendment to the parking and traffic by-law to temporarily prohibit parking on Queen Street East for the duration of the Elizabeth Street bridge construction.

The next regular Council meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the Municipality of North Perth Council Chambers and livestreamed to YouTube.

Meeting Information

The Municipality of North Perth Council meets the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated. 

Meetings are livestreamed on the Municipality’s YouTube channel and recordings will be available for viewing following each Council meeting. 

Council agendas and previous meeting minutes are posted on the Thursday prior to the Council Meeting and are available on the Municipality’s website or by contacting Legislative Services Staff at clerks@northperth.ca.
