The Council of the Municipality of North Perth met on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the North Perth Council Chambers (330 Wallace Ave N, Listowel) and livestreamed to YouTube.

Council Meeting Highlights – August 24, 2026

• Council approved Zoning By-law Amendment 9-2026, to allow for construction of a warehouse addition to the existing grain elevator operation at 6065 Line 84.
• Council supported consent application B21-26 affecting 5279 Line 72 to sever a surplus farm dwelling lot, resulting in a farm consolidation through the purchase of the severed farmlands.
• Council approved improvements to the Peet Municipal Drain and Parry Municipal Drain.
• Council directed staff to continue participation in the Labour Mobility Strategy for Asylum Claimants in Ontario Pilot Project in partnership with Opus Group and SpacesShared.
• Council committed to maintaining the Municipality’s current alcohol event framework at this time.

The next regular Council meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the Municipality of North Perth Council Chambers and livestreamed to YouTube.

Meeting Information

The Municipality of North Perth Council meets the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated. 

Meetings are livestreamed on the Municipality’s YouTube channel and recordings will be available for viewing following each Council meeting.
