The Council of the Municipality of North Perth met on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the North Perth Council Chambers (330 Wallace Ave N, Listowel) and livestreamed to YouTube.

Council Meeting Highlights – June 8, 2026

• Council congratulated Mark Hackett, Director of Environmental Services on his upcoming retirement.
• Council approved application PLC 1-2026, submitted by Euro Custom Homes Inc., for the exemption of part lot control on 200 Keeso Lane.
• Council recommended to Perth County that Vacant Land Condominium application NP 26-01, be approved and allow for the Exemption of Draft Plan Approval of Condominium at 935-963 Twamley Street West.
• Council authorized the execution of a Tiered Response Memorandum of Understanding between Perth Council Paramedic Services and the North Perth Fire Department.
• Council authorized the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Listowel Memorial Hospital, Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation, and Listowel-Wingham and Area Family Health Team for the purposes of physician recruitment.
• Staff were directed to implement Phase 1 (School Zone Speed Reductions) from the Urban Settlement Speed Reduction – Supplementary Report, dated June 8, 2026 and to bring forward options for Phase 2 Comprehensive Traffic Safety Strategy as part of the 2027 budget deliberations.

The next regular Council meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the Municipality of North Perth Council Chambers and livestreamed to YouTube.

Meeting Information

The Municipality of North Perth Council meets the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated. 

Meetings are livestreamed on the Municipality’s YouTube channel and recordings will be available for viewing following each Council meeting. 

Council agendas and previous meeting minutes are posted on the Thursday prior to the Council Meeting and are available on the Municipality’s website or by contacting Legislative Services Staff at clerks@northperth.ca.
