The Council of the Municipality of North Perth met on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the North Perth Council Chambers (330 Wallace Ave N, Listowel) and livestreamed to YouTube.

Council Meeting Highlights – September 14, 2026

• Council considered the Schinbein, Hanna and Inglis Municipal Drain reports and scheduled their Court of Revision Meetings for October 5, 2026.
• Council approved Zoning By-law Amendments 4-2026 and 5-2026 related to a land swap on Reserve Avenue South to facilitate parkland and a proposed townhouse development.
• Council approved Zoning By-law Amendment 11-2026 to add a crane operating business to the list of permitted uses at 6081 Perth Line 88.
• Council approved Zoning By-law Amendment 12-2026 related to consent application B41-25 to rezone a severed parcel at 5602 Perth Line 86.
• Council supported consent application B22-26 to sever a portion of 158 Winstanley Street to facilitate the enlargement of 155 Brock Street for an additional outdoor amenity area.
• Council approved Part Lot Control Exemption application 2-2026 to establish 11 single detached dwelling units on separately conveyable parcels.
• Council directed staff to continue working with the Listowel Legion on the implementation of a Veteran Crosswalk at the intersection of Wallace Avenue North and Elizabeth Street.
• Council approved the Terms of Reference for the Joint Compliance Audit Committee and approved the appointment of members for the 2026-2030 term of Council.
• Council approved the West End Development concept plan and directed staff to proceed with fencing of dog park and working with the Dog Park Committee to bring forward a staff report regarding future operations.
• Council directed staff to prepare a report exploring alternative locations and design options for the new Listowel outdoor pool.

The next Council meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026, in order to facilitate a Council workshop at the Municipality of North Perth Council Chambers and livestreamed to YouTube.

Meeting Information

The Municipality of North Perth Council meets the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated. 

Meetings are livestreamed on the Municipality’s YouTube channel and recordings will be available for viewing following each Council meeting.
