Plan it With Us: A New Library for North Perth

Have you heard about the Library Project and have questions, concerns, or thoughts? It’s your time to offer your voice, your vision, and your dreams for what your Library can continue to offer you and your community.

“We love our Listowel Branch and all the history and stories the Library has been able to create in this space! We are so excited to welcome the community in and hear what they have to say about an enhanced library and how the next library will meet a changing need and continue to add to the quality of life in North Perth.” said Library CEO Ellen Whelan. “The North Perth community is growing so much, and we want to continue to create a welcoming, connected space that are meeting the needs of today and the future!”

When you come to the Listowel Branch, you will see plans for the Library Project, including social services and housing elements, and you will have the opportunity to share your input with Library staff, Library Board members, United Housing, and project architects +VG on what our community needs. Dream big!

The Library Project is another big step in United Housing’s efforts to address housing needs in North Perth,” said Ryan Erb, CEO of United Way Perth-Huron and United Housing. “United Housing is committed to building projects that fit the needs of the community. We’re looking forward to hearing from local people so we can address what the community wants from this important and impactful project.”

Join us on October 20, 2026, by dropping into the Listowel Branch, 260 Main St W, during open hours from 10 am – 8 pm. We look forward to seeing you!
