North Perth offers a variety of quality healthcare services. These services include a hospital, medical clinic, public health services, and other healthcare resources.

Listowel Memorial Hospital

Listowel Memorial Hospital is a fully-accredited and updated hospital and has been providing hospital services to the residents of North Perth area since 1919. The hospital offers primary and secondary services and 24-hour emergency services. Our physicians and other regularly scheduled specialist clinics provide patient care and diagnostic services.

North Perth Family Health Team

The North Perth Family Health Team provides primary care services to our community. The Fischer Family Primary Care Centre, opened in 2012, provides a modern and professional home for all services offered by the health team.

The North Perth Family Health Team is located at 185 Inkerman St. E., Listowel and can be contacted at 519-291-4200.

If you have recently moved to our community and are looking for a new physician, please call 519-291-4200 to see if a physician is currently accepting patients. If no physicians are accepting patients, you can contact Health Care Connect. This is a provincial program designed to help you find a family health care provider. Health Care Connect can be contacted toll-free at 1-800-445-1822.

Huron Perth Public Health

Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) works with our community to promote and protect health and prevent illness, based on community need, evidence and law. HPPH is dedicated to delivering public health programs, classes and services in our community that are accessible for everyone.

The Huron Perth Helpline & Crisis Response Team is available to all residents of Huron and Perth Counties. It is a 24 hour crisis phone service, with crisis assessments, brief crisis therapy and crisis education.

BounceBack® is a free skill-building program managed by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). It is designed to help adults and youth 15+ manage low mood, mild to moderate depression and anxiety, stress or worry. Delivered over the phone with a coach and through online videos, you will get access to tools that will support you on your path to mental wellness.

Children’s Mental Health in Ontario

Kids Mental Health advocates for children's mental health and offers informational articles and guides, but does not offer any direct support to families. The aim is to help parents and professionals learn and understand mental illness and what they can do to protect themselves and their children. 

ConnexOntario (24 HR Provincial Service) Addiction, Mental Health and Problem Gambling Service

ConnexOntario provides free and confidential health services information for people experiencing problems with alcohol and drugs, mental illness and/or gambling. They are funded by the Government of Ontario.

The Farmer's Toolbox

Dedicated to offering current and important information as well as key resources to help those living in rural areas, especially farmers, to address mental health challenges and find the tools they need. This is an initiative of the Listowel Agricultural Society and local community volunteers.

Huron-Perth Centre (Mental Health Services for Children and Youth)

The Huron-Perth Centre for Children and Youth is an accredited community-based children’s mental health centre. They provide assessment and treatment services for a wide range of mental health concerns for children and youth up to their 18th birthday.

Kids Help Phone

Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only 24/7, national support service. They offer professional counselling, information and referrals and volunteer-led, text-based support to young people in both English and French.

Wellness Together Canada: Mental Health and Substance Use Support
