Infant Program

Age: 0-18 months

Ratio: 1:3

Room capacity: 10 infants with 3 Educators

This unique program is designed to meet infants' needs of space and opportunity to move at their current capabilities; a place that is safe for them to be in, but one that does not restrict free movement and active curiosity; key adults to respond to them promptly, consistently, and warmly, and to interact with them, giving them language, face to face, so they can begin to understand the process of human communication.

Combination of daily activities (both indoor and outdoor), age appropriate educational toys, songs, games, positive adult-infant interactions and personalized schedules provide perfect atmosphere for growing, learning, developing and exploring. Program Staff will work closely with the parents to ensure that each infant's individual needs are met. Daily reports will be prepared on child's naps, meals, diapering and other information parents would be interested in using our HiMama app.

Special Notes:

  • For children who are not ready to eat from the centre's posted menu, we request that parents supply any formula and foods to meet their child's needs.

Toddler Program

Age: 18-30 months

Ratio: 1:5

Room capacity: 15 toddlers with 3 Educators

The Toddler program introduces your child to a more structured day, no longer sleeping in cribs, having an established schedule for meals, naps and carefully planned activities, which are designed to assist your child in achieving those important developmental milestones and having fun at the same time.

Our toddler program encourages social interactions, choice, independence, exploration, and lots of fun! Toddlers begin to get used to having Circle Time (stories, songs, and discussions), enjoying structured planned activities, such as creative arts, sensory, story time, music, language and physical education, as well as dramatic play. Balance of active and quiet activities, designed to enhance toddlers' growth and development, supports each toddler's needs for a balanced day. Time is spent both indoor and outdoor and children are encouraged to explore their world in safe and loving environment.

Our toilet training program works in partnership with our families. When your child shows signs of readiness for toilet training, this interest is encouraged and approached with love and patience. The Program Staff will prepare daily reports on child's naps, meals, diapering/toilet training and other information parents would be interested in using our HiMama app.

As space becomes available for your child to start the Junior Preschool program, he/she will begin having visits to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Special Notes:

  • For children that have reached toilet training, we ask parents to supply lots of changes of labeled clothing.
