  • Notice of Public Committee of Adjustment Hearing - MV 12-2025

    Public input on applications is invited.  Pursuant to Section 45 of the Planning Act, the Committee of Adjustment for the Municipality of North Perth invites you to consider applications for minor variance and/or to forward written comments prior to the hearing.

    LOCATION OF PROPERTY:   Lots 153 & 154, Plan 253, Elma Ward, Municipality of North Perth (123 Queen St.)

    PURPOSE OF APPLICATION: The subject application requests relief from the following sections of the North Perth Zoning By-law:

    ·       Section 5.18.2 to install a second driveway access on a residential lot;

    ·       Section 5.1.3.d) increase the permitted accessory structure height from 4.5 m to 5.83 m; and

    ·       Section 5.1.3.e) to increase the lot coverage for an accessory structure from 10% to 12.1% to facilitate the construction of a 164.25 m2 accessory structure.

  • Municipal Class Environmental Assessment

    THE PROJECT:
    The 2025 Servicing Master Plan for the Communities of Listowel and Atwood identified the need for additional water storage in both communities to accommodate expected growth. For Listowel, the Servicing Master Plan recommended that additional storage be located in the north part of the community. For Atwood, the Master Plan identified potential expansion opportunities at the existing facilities, in addition to a potential new facility in the north part of the community. (see attached figure). It is also recommended that additional water supply for Atwood be considered.

  • Notice of Passing of a Zoning By-law Amendment - By-law No. 101-2025

    TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Municipality of North Perth passed By-law No. 101-2025 on the 20th day of October, 2025, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended (herein after called the “Act”). Council considered all written and oral submissions received on this application, the effect of which helped Council to make an informed decision.

    TAKE NOTICE a statutory public meeting is taking place to discuss a proposed Amendment Zoning By-law affecting the property described above. The application was deemed complete on August 18, 2025 pursuant to Section 34 (10.4) of the Planning Act in accordance with the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. O. Reg. 545/06 s. 5

    Purpose and Effect: The subject application is being proposed to satisfy a condition of approval for Consent File B38-25. The retained lot is to be rezoned from Agriculture Zone (A) to Special Agriculture Zone (A-1) to permit a non-farm residential dwelling and associated accessory uses, buildings and structures.

    The severed lands will be rezoned from Agriculture Zone (A) to Special Agriculture Zone (A-62) to prohibit any new permanent residential dwellings.

     

    The subject application will facilitate a surplus farm dwelling severance.

    TAKE NOTICE a statutory public meeting is taking place to discuss a proposed Amendment Zoning By-law affecting the property described above. The application was deemed complete on September 2, 2025 pursuant to Section 34 (10.4) of the Planning Act in accordance with the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. O. Reg. 545/06 s. 5

    Purpose and Effect: The subject application is intended to satisfy a condition of Consent File B16-25. The proposed retained lot is to be rezoned from Agriculture Zone (A) to Special Agriculture Zone (A-1) to permit a non-farm residential dwelling and associated accessory uses, buildings and structures. 

    The proposed retained lands will be rezoned from Agriculture Zone (A) to Special Agriculture Zone (A-62) to prohibit a residential dwelling.
